I would like to propose the creation of a new module: Anti-Tracking. The anti-tracking team has implemented a rather complex code that goes from the back-end to the Firefox front-end: it's able to detect and classify trackers, denying them to have access to their own cookie jar; it informs the user when there are trackers on the page; it allows the user to choose between several content blocking levels and to handle exceptions; it implements APIs and heuristics to grant storage permissions to trackers.
I would like to have a separate module for all of this above, and have peers for each of the following areas: - the interaction with the URL-Classifier and the safe-browsing lists (Dimi and I) - Heuristic, Storage Access API, cookie, networking, DOM and other platform parts (Ehsan and I) - Firefox front-end code, content-blocking panel, and user experience (Erica and Johann).
