You cannot prove it because it is ultimately up to the market to decide. The "right" price for GAE is whatever brings in most money to Google. This is not a statement about Google's greed, it is basic economics. I'm sure Google could sell GAE for less, but I frankly doubt whether lowering the price would bring in significantly more customers to make up the lost revenue. Many people on the list seem to be happy with what they get vs. what they pay, so for that customer segment GAE is definitely not more expensive than it "should" be.
