Another point is support. Most hosting companies give you phone support if you pay $100/month (or less). How come GAE charges $500 per month for it? It's understandable not to offer it for free users, or even below a certain pay limit. But how about customers who already pay thousands of dollars a month in hosting fees? It's totally unreasonable not to include support with that. It doesn't make business sense and it alienates your paying customers.
