Apart from Robert's comprehensive description of how the language works, I'll just add that the current set of rules evolved over time, with experience in using the language. The exact way that method sets worked with pointer types came from experience in writing early versions of Go. There was no design document. Since it happened before Go was released externally, there was no public discussion. Ian -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "golang-nuts" group.
