Could you explain where you read that there's official support for Flutter 
on desktop? I don't see an announcement at flutter.io, the Twitter account, 
or mailing list. There is what appears to be an experimental project [1] 
but it says "This is an exploratory effort, and is not part of the Flutter 
project."
