Removing the force-v3-sigs line from my gpg.conf enabled me to make a v4 data signature. but the above text seems to suggest that i need to *add* an option to make that happen. at any rate, shouldn't the use of contradictory options (e.g. --sig-notation with --force-v3-sigs) raise an error or a warning to the user? --dkg
