For what it's worth, Vista appears to have major problems with any program which depends on there being a libexec prefix. Whenever using a program that uses libexec helper programs, you're going to have problems--at least, I always did. I had Vista installed for a few weeks (work-related development) and ultimately said to hell with it, based on the incredible difficulties I faced in getting Cygwin, MinGW, GnuPG, etc., to work.
