Thanks all for the discussion. I have added a new section to the wiki containing sample account layouts and multi-split transaction datasets: https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/Using_GnuCash#Import_Guide_Sample_Data
Since I wasn't sure how to configure direct file downloads on the wiki layout, I have provided the data as raw text blocks for a quick copy/paste/Save As. If anyone with the proper wiki permissions wants to convert these into downloadable .csv attachments, please feel free! I would appreciate any community testing on these datasets, and I welcome edits or updates to the page. As an aside, I will submit a GitHub PR for the multidimensional filter text report.
