On windows having that version line on Help --> About confirms sanity check for Finance::Quote presence.
I could be wrong on this but IMHO means that Strawberry Perl is installed properly, that F::Q module is installed and its dependencies are in place, that GnuCash can see F::Q module, and is now ready to download pricing information. It confirms that there was a successful instantiation of it from GnuCash, and that it ran successfully to retrieve version string which is available from inside of the F::Q module. -----Original Message----- From: Wm Tarr <[email protected]> Sent: Friday, October 09, 2026 6:52 AM To: Kalpesh Patel <[email protected]>; 'Pedro Albuquerque' <[email protected]> Cc: [email protected] Subject: Re: [GNC] Problem with Finance::Quote On 2026-10-08 20:28, Kalpesh Patel wrote: > That looks likes both install to be working fine. I checked, they were the same sources once sorted. The perl 1-liner seems to list the sources differently each time and in no obvious order. > The best test is to create a new empty file in GNUCASH, define a single > security -- say AAPL -- and enable it to fetch price for it. I'm not sure what exactly is tested for that display, do we know that it means a fully working F::Q ?
