You shouldn't need to install Strawberry Perl separately if you are using the 'Install Online Price Retrieval for GnuCash' script available on Windows with the installation of GnuCash. Just type it in the Start menu --> Search
This is what I would suggest: 1 - Uninstall Strawberry Perl from the Control Panel --> Programs and Features (if you don’t find it then no problem) 2 - Delete c:\Straberry directory including the base directory itself. 3 - Reboot the computer 4 - Install GnuCash as usual with a regular user (this goes for all here -- run as a regular user and not as an admin) 5 - Reboot the computer 6 - Run 'Install Online Price Retrieval for GnuCash' as a regular user 7 - Verify the installation (this should return: C:\Strawberry\perl\bin\perl.exe). Open up command prompt and type following at the prompt: where perl 8 - Verify F::Q installation (this should return: #.##).
