I am not a user of Apple products, so I don't know how you know which usb
drive is which there, but I know that it can get confusing on Windows
machines, especially if there are more than one with both the same brand
and same volume size. I have resorted to assigning an electronic label to
each one and attaching a physical tag with the same label to keep track of
mine. Windows is notorious for reassigning drive letters, so I cannot
assume that they haven't changed since yesterday.
