Absolute true, Liz, that there is nothing important about using the month
end date for reconciliation. Anything is good as long as it is in proper
sequence of chronological order.

I was trying to lessen the effort (of calculating the balance as-of-date
manually) and preserve few brain cells for other experiences by just
comparing the ending balance from statement that financial institution has
calculated for you already. Then it is all matter of just clicking in the
reconcile window - a strait forward process until anomaly is found.

Or just reconcile a half page or a whole page of the statement at a time.
There is nothing important about using the month end date for
reconciliation.
