I may indeed be misunderstanding the OP, but I don't see why 3 separate
transactions would appear in the case of a complex(multi)-split,
regardless of the view. (and in fact, toggling the view in my book never
multiplies transactions, nor consolidates them)
If there is one debit and 3 credits balancing out, (similar to my
example) each affected register will show only one transaction as
-split- (in Basic View) and expanding that will show the four total
split lines.
If either register shows three entirely distinct simple transactions
(one debit, one credit each) then there are indeed three separate
transactions.
Now, if Jose processed the payment three separate times, because the
Business Features don't allow one payment for multiple Customers, then
that would explain why there are three distinct transactions. But then
the question is begged as to what balances the payment in each one if
the full $200 were entered each time.
Jose, perhaps a screenshot of what you are seeing would help clear
things up. (with a clarification of the exact steps you took to enter
the transaction)

Adrien

Adrien,
You're misunderstanding OP's issue, I believe.
Jose, I believe that you're concerned that the single deposit for $200 (to take
your example) appears 3 times in the checking register, correct? This is
expected behavior for the situation you describe. This is because the register
in basic view displays each of the entries you made into the account (for each
client) separately.
As far as I know, there is no way to change this when using the basic register
view-- although there is a simple workaround, which is to change the register
view to Transaction mode. This view will eliminate the duplicated entries, and
it will also show you all the entries of all the transactions in the register
all the time. It can limit the breadth of data you see in one screen, though.
