On that display, the number in the parentheses is the copy number. It is supposed to show the copy number if it is more than 1. So for example, if in a joint return an account for one party is tagged with Form 8606, copy 1, and the account for the other party is tagged with Form 8606, copy 2, the first one will show as "F8606: IRA basis at beg of year" and the second one will show as "F8606(2): IRA basis at beg of year". You've obviously found a bug. Since Schedule B doesn't allow you to specify a copy number, it shouldn't ever display "Sched B(0): Total dividend income". I will look into the code to figure out why that is happening for you. By the way, I have several accounts tagged with "Sched B: Total dividend income' and don't see "Sched B(0): Total dividend income" for any of them. I wonder if anyone else has seen what you see? Since the "Tax Schedule Report" has a seperate subtotal for each copy of a Form/Schedule, does yours show the different accounts grouped under separate subtotals (those that show "Sched B: Total dividend income" subtotaled separately from those that show "Sched B(0): Total dividend income")? If not, then the problem is likely with the code for displaying on the "Accounts" tab. If yes, then the problem is likely with the code that's saving the data in your file somehow putting in a 'copy number' of '0' when it shouldn't in some cases and not in others. Please let me know. After you have looked into that, could you, for an account that displays "Sched B(0): Total dividend income" on the "Accounts" tab, try going to the Income Tax Information popup screen and temporarily assign it to, say, "Sched B: Interest Income", confirm that it has changed correspondingly on the "Accounts" tab, then go back to the Income Tax Information popup screen and change the assignment back to "Sched B: Total dividend income" and see if that makes the "(0)" go away and report back with what happens?
