Please remember to copy the list on all replies. No, there is no nightly build for macOS, but the change can be done by hand. With GnuCash not running, open a Finder window and right (or control) click on the Gnucash application and select Show Package Contents, then navigate to Contents/Resources//share/guile/site/2.2/gnucash/qif-import.scm. Right click on that and select Open With, then TextEdit. Find line 437 and change (if (not (or (qif-xtn:mark xtn) (or (null? splits) (null? (cdr splits))))) To (if (not (or (qif-xtn:mark xtn) (null? splits))) Pay close attention to the parentheses! Save the file.
