Hi

I‘ve been using Gnucash on a Mac for about 4 years, currently running MacOS
Sequoia 15.2 with no problem. However, Yesterday the message box below popped
up when I started Gnucash. I checked the advice I could find on the Internet
but neither of Open Read Only or OpenAnyway work and i end up with the Mac OS
crash.

From what I’ve read, this may be because GnCash didn’t correctly close, leading
any restart to assume that the files are still in use. Though I’ve been using
computers since before the days even of Apple IIs I’m no database expert, so
have no wish to delve into the file structure of Gnucash, which I run to keep
track of about 8 interlinked accounts. I’ve tried loading previous GnuCash
backups, but they all produce the same result.

I’m now at a loss as to what to do. Can anyone help?

Many thanks

Mike Pidd
