It doesn’t, because both 5.9-1 and 5.9-2 use the same GnuCash release. To see 
which you’re using open Applications in Finder and select GnuCash. If you use 
the 3-column view then the version will be in the right-most panel, otherwise 
you’ll need to use command-I (File>Get info in the menu) to see it.
