David,

There is a wikipedia entry on the QFX file format which states that it
is a standard OFX file with the inclusion of additional fields to
support a licensing fee paid by institutions to Intuit. It means that
Quicken software will only import data where the providing institution
has paid a fee to Intuit. see
(https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/QFX_(file_format)#:~:text=QFX%20is%20Intuit's%20proprietary,financial%20information%20over%20the%20internet.&text=A%20QFX%20file%20is%20a,with%20a%203%20year%20expiration
.)

If that is the case, it may be possible to edit the file to remove the
fields involved to make into a standard OFX file. My guess is that
these fields will be in the OFX header

To be able to check this out would require some one to generate and
supply a dummy file with a few typical dummay entries to work out if
this is feasible or not and to design a script/program to do the
conversion. It may even be possible to get the developers of libofx to
simply skip over such fields in QFX files if they have not already
incorporated this.
