This comes up with regularity on the lists as people look to abandon QuickBooks and come to GnuCash.
There is an entry in the FAQ on the wiki (https://wiki.gnucash.org/wiki/FAQ#Q:_How_do_I_import_my_data_from_Quickbooks.28TM.29.3F) that explains that QB uses a proprietary format that no one has put in time to decipher, rendering it non trivial for a user to migrate. I'm reasonably sure that this information is still accurate, with regards to GnuCash capabilities in late 2024. I will also note that while there is information online about Quicken's *other* formats, there is nothing about how a QBX file is structured. This suggests that OP will not find any help with converting into a GnuCash friendly format. Further, previous discussions on this topic (Google search: "quickbooks site:lists.gnucash.org") have revealed that QB doesn't offer its users the kind of export that GnuCash advisors here suggest (QIF, QFX, and OFX are the usual list recs). The past threads that I scanned in the archives came to the same conclusion: close out your QB books, change over to GnuCash as of a certain date, and start fresh. Optional: continue using QB for a period of time, either in parallel, or for reference. David T.
