I didn't notice until just now the picture of the message didn't come
through to the list.
David Long attached a screenshot of a dialog saying:
Remove "Sailing club July 2024.gnucash.tmp-A24500" from your Dropbox
account and all devices? If you move this file to "$Deleted", it won't be
available in Dropbox or on any devices.
The Dialog offers a checkbox "Don't ask me this again" and "Cancel" and
"Move out of Dropbox"
ON FURTHER REFLECTION, could this be a tmp file for a GnuCash report? The
name of the file makes me think it's a report and not the name of your
Gnucash "book" file.
Again, it's OK to let Dropbox delete it. I presume the tmp file gets
created when you create a report.
You might want to consider why you're backing up the directory containing
tmp files to Dropbox, but you may have your reasons... it should not hurt
anything. It also should not hurt anything to allow Dropbox to purge the
files when you're through with them.
