I've noticed csv parser user interface problems reported since it was remodelled to include things like Namespace and Amount(negated). Even if users can't understand the labels or documentation and have to resort to trial and error the processes should still work.
https://lists.gnucash.org/pipermail/gnucash-user/2022-August/102562.html > The three lines below *work* using a Multi-split import - based on > https://bugs.gnucash.org/show_bug.cgi?id=797450 > Save *PP-Demo_Transactions_Minimal_Priced2.csv*: > Date,Description,Action,Account,Deposit,Rate/Price > 01/02/2021,RIO,,Assets:Broker:Funds,-9912.53 > ,,Buy,Assets:Broker:Shares:RIO,89,8900/991253 This example doesn't work in GnuCash Version 5.8 under Windows 11 (replacing old Deposit field with Amount). I'll use V4. The bug was marked as a duplicate of one reported later ignoring the issues making it hard to parse the accounts: There are two issues here: > 1. The account separators are not recognised and replaced by -. Manually > parse the accounts at ":". > 2. An error message displayed "You must choose a commodity" is wrong and > should be "You must choose a Security/currency" Choose AUD Regards [image: image.png]
