As I use Gnucash just for my personal expenses (there are plenty of those) and a couple of rental properties I take a totally different approach and just setup all scheduled txns to create automatically 60 days in advance. Makes it easy to see what's coming up cash flow wise especially if you set the Register preference to have the blank line between today's txns and future txns :-)
