Yes, I think that script is currently sufficient to do regular updates. In fact I will try to update the flatpaks in the next couple of days to ship with the newest F::Q. May take until the weekend though as I'm quite busy this week.
And my bonehead move was accidentally removing LWP::Protocol::https from the dependency list in dist.ini. So when running flatpak-cpan-generator.pl be sure to add it to command line so it's in the JSON file.
