I searched the aqbanking project's sources and you are correct the name is "aqbanking" without the leading dot on Windows (and ".aqbanking" on all other platforms). On Freedesktop based platforms (linux, Macports on OS X,...) there is still $HOME/.config/gnucash to back up.
