If your fallback returns C, this usually indicates a missing (more basic) language packet on your machine. you could check our user mail archive for this issue because details depend on your OS/distro. > > > Though Latgalian language > > > (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Latgalian_language) is not dialect but > > > official language now, > > > (as it was developed _before_ Latvian and can't be its dialect) > > > though for us "classical" lv_LV conforms to used locale name in Linux > > > systems ;-) > > > > there could be ONE translation ltg > > and TWO sets of account templates > > ltg_LV fitting latvian and > > ltg_RU for russian law. > > And because there are Latvian communities all around the world, > it could be also for Latvian e.g. lv_LV, lv_AU, lv_GB, lv_ES, lv_RU, > lv_US, etc. > So, lv_LV does make sense. Yes for the account templates. But they do not benefit from your translation, if it is called lv_LV.po, while they would, if it were named lv.po. BTW: Is there an encoding issue? I get with > LANG=lv_LV gnucash versija ir izstrdes stadij un t var nedarboties. Par defektiem vai citm kudm ziot gnucash-de...@gnucash.org. Varat ar apskatt un reistrt defektus eit http://bugzilla.gnome.org Pdj stabil versija bija GnuCash 2.2.9 Nkam stabil versija bs GnuCash 2.4 while the rest looks fine. But with > LANG=lv_LV.utf8 gnucash it is readable. So at least opensuse seems to prefer a "good old" ISO-encoding as default charset for lv_LV.
