I just installed gnucash using the recent rpm file, as shown below: 

root@rixbook /rpms]# rpm -ivh gnucash-1.2.5-1.i386.rpm 
user jcollins does not exist - using root 
group jcollins does not exist - using root 
gnucash                     ################################################## 
[root@rixbook /rpms]# which gnucash 
/usr/bin/gnucash 

When I styarted gnucash I got the following messages

I did get the gnucash main window, however, and I created two accounts, as test.

When I tried to save them, I got into a loop: after saving them gnucash asked
me
againg to save them.  In fact the two accounts were never saved. 

I also tried to import my Quicken files (QIF).  I went through all the moves, I
received
no error messages, but nothing happened. 

Can you tell me how to remedy the situation?
