Perhaps the problem appears because gettext and gnucash are not
installed in the same directory. You can try to run configure with
--with-locale-dir=<install dir>.
If it works, then it's a bug in my patch. I won't be able to check it
before next sunday. Moreover, my computer is about to die (it reboots
unexpectedly). I wish I could help you later.
