This sounds like a case where we should be able to check for the
difference, and spit out a meaningful error message should the check
for "are we using 2c6?" fails.
The same *should* be true for the Very Frequently Asked Question
about the configuration directory. If we can cause things to
abort *with a meaningful message,* that should diminish confusion
to the gentle users.
And some of these questions are getting asked so often as to get
quite irritating...
