We should be able to do that pretty easily.  Jeremy, if you get the
time, just *export* (rather than check out) both trees and then run a

  diff -ruN old new

Well, you should be getting roughly the same amount of data either
way, but the tar.gz approach, for a single-shot should be more
efficient.  You don't have the overheard of CVS involved.

However, a cvs checkout (using -z3 which gives you substantial
compression over the link), while more expensive initially, should be
much cheaper for subsequent upgrades than downloading a whole new
tarfile since "cvs -z3 update -Pd" just transfers the diffs.

Good question, I suspect we're probably heading toward "alpha" status
soon, but I'm very happy to let Linas handle that end of things.
