At least as of the latest sources on the GnuCash 1.2 patch branch, QIF
export is not supported (although QIF import is supported).

Well, I suppose it depends what you mean by 'stable and usable'. I
was able to get GnuCash 1.2.x to compile on RH 5.1 using Motif 1.2
with a little massaging of the sources and a fix to one configuration
bug. I have never used quicken (indeed, I have never used any
personal financial tool) so I cannot compare the two, however I did
spend an hour or so entering a bunch of various GnuCash accounts.

The biggest UI headache so far is that you have to specify account
parents at account creation time and cannot restructure your tree
at a later date. :(

Anyways, I can send out my (minor) Motif patches. I still need to
fix the configuration problem.

PS: The config problem is that I happen to have a program called 'rs'
in my default path. However, this program is _NOT_ 'RScheme'. The
problem is that the configure script sees 'rs' and assumes I have
RScheme installed, and then bombs out when it cannot find <rscheme.h>.
I hope to include a better test to make sure that 'rs' is really
the RScheme executable. Whee, configure hacking ;)
