Take heart ... Another RedHat user has surfaced.  I had such a hard
time getting GnuCash to install from rpm, and when I did finally get
all deps satisfied it seemed buggy and unstable.  Sorry I have no
facts left.  I saw nowhere to post my troubles so eventually just
scrapped it.  I never was able to get the tar.gz sources to compile
either.  Seems to need way too much stuff.

Finally junked it all in favor of cbb.  Which installs easily and
seems rock solid.   Probably lacks lots of functionality that a
(working) gnucash would have.

I'm interested in GnuCash so think I will try the installs again and
maybe report my problems here.

Would that be considered part of devel?
