Guile is already integrated in Gnucash, so I don't see a reason to change
the scripting language. After all, whatever language you choose, there
will always be people that will complain about it and tell you that some
other language is better.

Suppoprting multiple scripting languages is not a solution, since people
will need to know all the scripting languages. BTW, I don't have any
knowledge about a program that uses multiple extension languages.

I'm in favour of Scheme, because I like it (yep, everyone has favourites
:), but I believe that the main advantage of Guile is that is already
there, so the projecty can move on. why going back and change the embeded
scripting language?

The engine part of Gnucash is built as a library, so other bindings can be
done easily (like the Perl binding is done). One can take out the engine
from the gnucash code, and create separate sub-projects for bindings to
other languages.

Best Regards,
alex.
