I primarily agree.

The benefit right now is that the Gnome version is absolutely *not*
stable enough to use.  For those of us who already have our data in
GnuCash, and must have multiple splits, keeping the Motif stuff
working is important.  Although I suppose it would be possible to
create a fork.  Just freeze a current version that "works well
enough", and then kill the Motif stuff...  I'm not sure that's the
right thing to do, though...
