Correct. Quicken is (and will be) a single-user application.

I think you look at the design issues the wrong way. It's not like the
obesssion of using CORBA dictates the way the application is
developed. Instead (at least form me) the reasoning goes the following
way:

Too many GUIs required => Client/Server design => Client API => IPC
mechanism => [suggested by Linas] CORBA.

For me, it doesn't matter whether it will be CORBA or smoke signals.
At least at this stage. I *do* want to stick to a client/server
design, just to guarantee that the GUI guys won't mutilate the engine
functionality every time they implement a new visual quirk. Besides, I
want to make sure GnuCash allows doing all stuff Quicken does and
beyond.
