Minimization works fine for me. Though I prefer to add these buttons
through dconf-editor: you have more choices, and you can put buttons on
the left or on the right. In dconf-editor you need to change key
org.gnome.shell.overrides button-layout. To read about available options
you can open org.gnome.desktop.wm.preferences button-layout.
