I'm familiar with gtranslator and I know it well enough that I know some of what's wrong and some of how to fix it. I don't have a clear idea of the direction of valacat and what it will be when the developer considers it to be "done". For now, I can take gtranslator in the direction I would like to see it move in. It's basically a matter of personal preferences and having a clear idea of how to move forward with gtranslator.
