only the po files suffer that. the only system that works for me in translating is fedora 8 with its own kbabel and scim. there have been a lot of problems in ubuntu which is my default OS. the tamil phonetic input does not work for one. lokalize is still developing. so i take the po file to fedora through a usb thumbdrive which of course is FAT. to avoid the permissions problems which surfaced earlier i copy the freshly translated file in usb drive and open it ( of course by right clicking and choosing open with other applications> text editor it gets marked as an executable file and wants to run in terminal otherwise). i open the po file in git also and copy paste the entire contents from the usb drive file. phew! but all other files are in the linux partition only. drtv -- My blogs: [all in Tamil] http://anmikam4dumbme.blogspot.com/ http://chitirampesuthati.blogspot.com/ photo blog now with english text too! http://kathaikathaiyaam.blogspot.com/ BE HAPPY!
