Dear sir, I want to start a new translation team for Persian language. You me say that there is already a team for persian, yes I know thatm bust it is about 2 years that the old team did not act any usefull action. If you take a look at their web site (http://www.farsiweb.ir/wiki/Main_Page), just at the very buttom of the page, you can see that it's last update is: October 2006!
Another problem is that they do not distribute their translation to the gnome community: if you take a look at their distribution (Sharif Linux) screenshots (http://www.farsiweb.ir/wiki/Screenshots), you can see that their translation is really complete! And all the environment is translated into persian! But if you look at gnome's persian translation or install a distribution like ubuntu or debian or fedora and see it's persian environment, you will see a very poor translation! Do you know what? because their linux distribution is not completely free! And they do not spread their works completely. So, PLEASE let me help the gnome persian translation.
