AFAIK it's OK to change strings now if you haven't declared/announced
a string freeze. If so, translators are likely to get mad at you if
there are too many string changes.

It's always good to announce the string freeze period for your modules
on GTP on the list so translator are aware of what modules are calling
for their attention. Please remember mentioning the release date too,
so translators know how much time they have to work.
