Fink's gnome-doc-utils package automatically installs the libxml2-py24 package, which provides the necessary libxml2 python module (fink's g-d-u uses python2.4). You could just as well install just the libxml2-py23 package and then have it for python2.3 and a manually-built g-d-u.
