Correction: there are several keyboard layouts/input methods for
Vietnamese (e.g. Telex, VNI, VIQR, TCVN) which use either dead keys
or combinations of keys, so "key combinations" would have been a more
accurate general description than "dead keys".

Regardless, a way to assign usable accelerators to accented vowels
would be a huge help to us.
