I'm having problems installing Gromacs. I have linux redhat 64 bit. I was 
installing gromacs 4.5.5 with fftw 3.3. I followed the installation 
instructions and all went well until the "make install" command, when I 
executed it I got this error:



/usr/bin/ld: /usr/local/lib/libfftw3.a(plan-dft-r2c-3d.o): relocation 
R_X86_64_32 against `a local symbol' can not be used when making a shared 
object; recompile with -fPIC

/usr/local/lib/libfftw3.a: could not read symbols: Bad value

collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

make[3]: *** [libmd_d.la<http://libmd_d.la/>] Error 1

make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/ganguly/Gromacs/gromacs-4.5.5/src/mdlib'
