Hi all gromacs users,
i want to compile gromacs on a debian machine, but i have received a
following problem, that i didnt receive on a ubuntu machine some month ago.I
have
checked-out source:
cvs -z3 -d :pserver:[EMAIL PROTECTED]:/home/gmx/cvs co -r release-3-3-patches
gmx
My autotool versions are:
automake (GNU automake) 1.10
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.61
Now,when i run the bootstrap the following errors apears:
wintermute:/home/tomas/gmx# ./bootstrap
/usr/share/automake-1.10/am/depend2.am: am__fastdepCCAS does not appear in
AM_CONDITIONAL
/usr/share/automake-1.10/am/depend2.am: The usual way to define
`am__fastdepCCAS' is to add `AM_PROG_AS'
/usr/share/automake-1.10/am/depend2.am: to `configure.ac' and run
`aclocal' and `autoconf' again. Makefile.am:20: use `install-data-hook'
or `install-exec-hook', not `install-hook'
wintermute:/home/tomas/gmx#
Finally, no makefile.in is generated.
Thera are some another files generated by the bootstrap script.
This is my top gmx directory
before and after the bootstrap run:
wintermute:/home/tomas/gmx# ls
acinclude.m4 bootstrap COPYING INSTALL README src
admin config CVS Makefile.am scripts
AUTHORS configure.ac include man share
wintermute:/home/tomas/gmx# ls
acinclude.m4 AUTHORS config COPYING INSTALL README src
aclocal.m4 autom4te.cache configure CVS Makefile.am scripts
admin bootstrap configure.ac include man share
wintermute:/home/tomas/gmx#
So there are 2 new files: aclocal.m4 and autom4te.cache in the top directory
(plus configure script).
I would appreciate any help:)
Greetings,
upgrade automake to at least 1.6 (but why not to 1.9 straight away).
