Consider two projections kept separate by a reused `rand()` output, as in the new tests. The lower projection computes `CAST(s AS INT) AS m`, and the upper one computes `make_date(y, m, 1)`. With whole-stage codegen, ANSI mode, and a row where `y` is NULL and `s` is `'bad'`, Spark returns NULL without evaluating `m`. The lower projection contains no `MakeDate`, so it remains eligible for native execution and its cast throws. Track deferred inputs of `make_date` through their producing projections so both operators stay on the row path when a skipped input can throw. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
