Hi, I tried `EXPLAIN VERBOSE` on the lab's base case (12 files, `target_partitions = 2`, the `GROUP BY` query). `DataSourceExec` already has no `output_ordering` in `initial_physical_plan`, so I don't see an optimizer pass dropping it. As far as I can tell the ordering is discarded in ListingTable::scan, before the physical optimizer runs, and the only trace is the debug log line. With `target_partitions = 4`, the initial plan has four groups and the ordering is there.
