# Which issue does this PR close? Part of #2369. # Rationale for this change Preparing for the Ballista 55.0.0 release. DataFusion has already been upgraded to released 55.x crates on `main`, so the next step in the release process is to bump the Rust crate versions from 54.0.0 to 55.0.0 before cutting `branch-55`. # What changes are included in this PR? - Bump the Rust workspace package version and inter-crate dependency requirements from `54.0.0` to `55.0.0`. - Refresh `Cargo.lock`. - Update `dev/update_ballista_versions.py` for the workspace metadata introduced in #2409, without expanding inherited versions into individual manifests. - Keep `python/` unchanged because the Python client is now versioned and released separately, as documented in #2512. # Testing - `cargo check --profile ci --workspace --all-targets --locked` - `ci/scripts/rust_fmt.sh` - `uvx ruff check dev/update_ballista_versions.py` - `uvx ruff format --check dev/update_ballista_versions.py` - Verified that rerunning `dev/update_ballista_versions.py 55.0.0` is idempotent. # Are there any user-facing changes?
