rovf created an issue (geany/geany#4260) Geany version 2, Using GTK+ v3.24.38 and GLib v2.76.3 runtime libraries MacOS 12.7.3 German keyboard (Keyboard Input Source Name "AT - Austrian", but problem should also occur with "DE-Germany").
Using this keyboard layout, the character @ is produced by pressing the "Option" key together with letter L. When I open in Geany the replace dialogue, as soon as I type a @ in one of the two entry fields in the dialogue invoked by Search/Replace (i.e. in either the search string or the replacement string), the pop up window with the "Replace" dialogue is closed. Geany itself is still operational. The problem does not occur when I copy the character (Applekey+C) and Paste it (Applekey+V) into the replacement string. The problem also does not occur inside the dialogue window invoked by Search/Find. I can enter a @ without problems. Inside the editor, I can also type a @ without causing any side effects. I want to mention another problem, which seems to be related: The character ~ is produced by pressing the "Option" key together with letter N. I can not enter this character in the Search/Replace dialogue. If I type Option+N, nothing seems to happen. Here, the dialogue does not crash but stays open. Interestingly, Option+N also does not work in the Search/Find dialogue. I can type tilde characters with Option+N inside the edit pane. Hence it is not the characters themselves, which cause trouble, but the way how Geany reacts to the keyboard combination of Option with some other keys. -- Reply to this email directly or view it on GitHub: https://github.com/geany/geany/issues/4260 You are receiving this because you are subscribed to this thread.
