No, this is not normal. It only happens in Geany, when I am editing an existing file and then not always. I will try and work out when and why it happens.
The file I have been working on is only 95,232 bytes, maximum line length approx.244 characters. I have closed all the tabs and it still shows cpu 25% when I enter text.
