A quick update here. We’re in the process of updating the AESS syllabus bank, anticipate completion in July. We will inform this list at that time! wil

Alas, the gep-ed archive of syllabi no longer exists. However, Wil Burns (who is on this list) and AESS are developing a repository of EStudies syllabi, which will surely include GEP courses. I imagine that Wil will post a note to this listserv when the AESS resources go live 2. To underscore Kimberly’s initial request: Please send all responses to her directly, after which she can report out to the list. Kimberly, please let me know if you become overwhelmed with responses (syllabi, book suggestions, etc.) I can help archive or sort through material. The last two versions are attached. In previous versions I've used textbooks by many of the members of this list. The versions I'm sharing now use mostly online materials and journal articles. >From these you can get a few references. I also would point you to this >website: http://www.umsl.edu/~robertsondb/248/sy248bib.html I seem to recall (other GEP-ED list members may recall better) that someone (perhaps Mike Maniates?) had already compiled a website of GEP syllabi. I've had a migraine since yesterday so forgive if I can't provide more detail. Best wishes and good luck with your course. It is intended to be a core seminar for graduate students studying both IR and/or environmental politics. I have significant flexibility in the topics we address, and am interested in placing a significant emphasis on justice and equity issues in GEG, as well as introduce students to a variety of methodological approaches. At the same time, I intend to include some of the more classic works in GEP. What books and articles would you recommend along any of these lines? I will return a compiled list to the listserv. Also, if you are willing to share any of your syllabi for similar PhD courses, I would be very grateful! Thank you in advance for your suggestions! Best, Kim ------ Kimberly R.
