My apologies Andrea,

I just realized that I did introduce myself on uDig mailing list but not
here. I am a software developer from LisaSoft company and I am working
on Udig project. My task is to write a documentation that describes
step-by-step process for uDig/dependencies compilation and building in
offline mode. uDig and all nested dependencies should be built from the
source code and that includes geotools. One of the reasons why we have
to push few dependencies upgrades is that we are not able to build their
sources. So far it was batik and there are issues with vecmath but I
hope that list wont grow further.

cheers Alex
